When I think of pie, I always think of Thanksgiving. Otherwise pie usually isn’t my choice of pastry. Pies I’ve had are usually a couple days old, the glaze gets solid, and the preserved fruits used are highly artificial.

All has changed when I stopped by Petee’s Pie to have a slice after visiting the Lowline. Their Maine blueberry pie is the bomb. Each slice is bursting with two full layers of blueberries. I loved each bite was fresh and not overly sweet. Apart from the delicious food, the experience was amazing. The second you step in it’s difficult to leave. The sweet aromas engulf you and the only question you’ll have is ‘which pie are you going to get?’
